A Life of Love
Pradipkumar Prabhulal Shah, age 62, of Old Bridge, NJ passed away on Sunday, May 17 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, after a month-long battle with COVID-19. Born on January 24, 1958 in Petlad, India to Prabhulal Thakorlal Shah and Madhuben Prabhulal Shah, he grew up in Sojitra, India with his family before moving to the US in October 1998. After a fulfilling career as a civil engineer with the New Jersey Department of Transportation, he recently retired in January to enjoy time with his family and friends.
A beloved son, husband, father, brother, and uncle, Pradip was the pillar and patriarch of the family. He was never happier than when he was surrounded by his family and friends. He lived his life for others and was constantly giving to all those in need, measuring his success by those he was able to help. He loved music and singing, his voice filling every room he was in with joy. Leaving an insatiable void for all who had the pleasure of knowing him, Pradip will be remembered for his generosity and dedication to others. He was a devout believer in Lord Krishna and his family finds solace knowing that his soul will be at peace.
Pradip is predeceased by his father, Prabhulal Shah, and his first wife, Nayna Pradip Shah. He is survived by his wife Amita; his daughters Janki, Prachi and Priya; his mother, Madhuben Shah; his sisters Rita, Daxa, Nandini and Manisha; numerous nieces and nephews; and many beloved family members and in-laws.
A service will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, May 19 at Busch Funeral Home in Cleveland, Ohio. Due to the current restrictions on gatherings because of COVID-19, a webcast of the service will be available for friends and family. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude for all of the love and support they have received. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Shah may be made to Sewa International (sewausa.org/donate).
